FITZ, taken from his last name, is a DJ with an old soul, a deep love and respect for the EDM culture and music. He has been DJ’ing since just before the turn of the century. He started with Trance then moved to hard house, and is now rocking clubs and events with his jumping, booming, dancing style of Breakbeats. “Every set I put together is a journey, you will never get the feel of my whole set, unless you hear the whole thing from beginning to end.”

Realizing his love for a Disco type of sound from old school tracks like "Don' Stop the Rock", and "You Dropped the Bomb on me" they filled his soul with the Disco he needed, but FITZ was still missing something. Quite a few years later he end up at his first "rave" in Atlanta GA, and Frankie Bones played a set that changed his passion. “It was then I knew then what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, I wanted to become a DJ.”

Sometimes called the Icey of Atlanta, FITZ has taken Atlanta over by storm with his Thundering and groovy flavor of break-beats he pours through the speakers. Not only does he get compared to looking like Icey, but he can bring the boom with his sets like the original and never duplicated DJ Icey.

FITZ started out as any aspiring DJ would; he had a beginner setup with a few records, and kept finding new ways of bringing music from one track to blend beautifully with another. In Athens TN was where FITZ honed his skills with the likes of DJ Gruv, Goldenboy, MizMo, and many others. Trance was his first love, then moved to House, and then Drum and Bass, But later found his true love for playing Breakbeats.

Now he is hooked up with a production company called Slack Industries out of Atlanta, GA and head of the Atlanta chapter for D.P.P. which grew from D.P.P. out of Orlando. In association with Slack Industries based in Atlanta, GA, you can catch FITZ playing around the southeast. Now FITZ has moved on to a new passion in the scene, and that is producing music. “I am always looking for another jam to remix, or just creating original melodies running around in my head.”

Currently working with Brian Tedder from Slack Industries and together they have created a Breakbeat duo called Bitsen Pieces, (check facebook for updates).
